Aang
Aang
Aang is a twelve-year old master Airbender, meaning he can control the air around him and "bend" it to his will. He is also the Avatar, which is a reincarnated spirit who can control all four elements of the world; Air, Fire, Earth, and Water.
Aang discovers he is the Avatar at an early age, right at the time that the Fire Nation is starting their war against the other tribes and kingdoms of the world. As he learns this, he runs away and gets frozen in an iceberg. One hundred years later, he is awakened by Katara and Sokka of the water tribe. He learns that the Fire Nation killed all the Airbenders and is in constant war with the Earth Kingdom and Water tribes.
Aang realizes his destiny and sets off on an adventure to learn the bending arts and to defeat the Firelord. He travels to the north pole, the Earth Kingdom, and even into the Fire Nation to train.
In the last battle, Aang and his friends all try to defeat different parts of the Fire Nation. Aang fights with the Firelord, who has been given ultimate powers from a passing comet. Aang defeats him, not by killing him, but by taking his fire bending away.
Aang fulfills his destiny and restores balance to the world. He masters the bending arts and brings peace to all the people of the kingdoms.
